Streetcar Cost per Passenger Trip

Definition: Measures operating cost of providing light rail service per unlinked light rail passenger boarding.

Performance (December 2024):

The Cost per MARTA Streetcar Passenger Trip of $47.61 in December exceeded the forecast by $25.96. This unfavorable variance was due to operating expenses coming in over budget. The 2025 Fiscal Year-to-Date (months of July through December) Cost per Streetcar Passenger Trip of $39.78 exceeded the forecast by $18.01. This unfavorable variance was due to operating expenses coming in over budget.
