Roosevelt Highway

Overview:

MARTA is identifying potential transit improvements in Southern Fulton County along Roosevelt Highway. This corridor was identified in the Fulton County Transit Master Plan. This project aims to recommend transit service enhancements that will address travel patterns and needs, improve travel time reliability, and meet the needs of current and future transit users.

The project includes the following phases:

Previously, South Fulton Parkway and Roosevelt Highway were being studied as a single project. For information, see this page.

Project Area:

There are three Arterial Rapid Transit (ART) alternatives currently being considered:

  • Alternative 1: East Point to Palmetto (Blue)
  • Alternative 2: East Point to Oakley Industrial Parkway (Orange)
  • Alternative 3: East Point to Fairburn (Green)

ART is a transit service that offers a mode frequent all-day bus service with stops spaced ¼ to ½ mile apart. Compared to local bus service, ART operates more frequently and serves fewer stops to improve travel time reliability.
